In Home Therapy Clinician

Do you enjoy helping children and their families achieve their goals while working as part of a flexible and highly supportive clinical team? Family Service Association has an opportunity as a Clinician in our In-Home Therapy Program.  Hours for full time are 35 or 40 hours per week.  Full time positions have an expectation of 25 – 28 billable hours per week and receive an incentive rate for exceeding billable hours. ****Billable services include time spent on documentation, care coordination, collateral contact and no show/member outreach.****

Typical hours for this position are Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00p.m with some flexibility.  This schedule would change as needed based on client's clinical needs.  Clinicians are fully remote once trained. Services are delivered in person in the greater Fall River and New Bedford communities. Supervision and staff meetings will be conducted in person.

Responsibilities include:  

• Providing intensive in-home family therapy to youth who meet criteria for a serious emotional disturbance as evidenced by CANS assessment.
• The clinician works on development of a treatment plan and using established therapeutic techniques and intensive family therapy, working with the entire family, or a subset of the family, to implement focused structural or strategic interventions and behavioral techniques.
• Goals are designed to enhance problem solving, limit-setting, risk management/safety planning, communication, build skills to strengthen the family, advance therapeutic goals, or improve ineffective patterns of interaction, identify and utilize community resources, develop and maintain natural supports for the youth and parents/caregiver(s) in order to promote sustainability of treatment gains.
• The IHT team employ and adhere by wraparound principles to ensure families are leading their treatment goals and vision.

Education Required:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited school, with the degree being on the CBHI list of approved degrees.
  • The successful candidate must either be a Master's level therapist or in their second year (currently completing their internship *) of a Master's Program with a clinical track.
  • Supervision toward licensure available from seasoned LICSW and LMHC supervisors.
• Must be certified in the Massachusetts CANS (can be obtained post-hire if necessary).

Experience Required:

• Experience working with children and families.
• Must have the skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be willing to work with SED populations.                               

Experience Desired:

• Experience in navigating any of the child/family-serving systems and experience advocating for family members who are involved with behavioral health systems. 
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically outlook and word in addition to some familiarity with electronic health records.

**Must be able to work flexible hours, including late afternoon/early evenings and possibly weekends in order to meet the clinical needs of the children and families.
