At Family Service League Inc., we are committed to providing comprehensive services to individuals, children, and families. Our Family Recovery Center in Bay Shore is seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in social work or a related field, with LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, CASAC, or Limited Permit required. Two years of experience working with substance use disorders is also necessary, with co-occurring disorders being a plus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing counseling to individuals, groups, and families affected by alcohol and drugs. This will involve consulting with outside agencies, facilitating referrals, and ensuring timely follow-up on those services.
In addition to their clinical duties, the Substance Abuse Therapist will be expected to maintain accurate records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and Outpatient Treatment Reviews (OTRs). They will also need to adhere to OASAS regulations and participate in regular supervision sessions with their supervisor.
