Our team delivers over 60 social service and mental health programs across more than 20 locations, making us a leader in our field.
We are seeking an experienced Suicide Prevention Educator to join our C-CAT Program, which aims to prevent and respond to suicidal behaviors among various populations.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering in-person and virtual workshops on suicide prevention and postvention services
- Conducting outreach with schools and community organizations to schedule presentations
- Providing crisis intervention and referrals, as needed
- Conducting suicide risk assessments for all impacted clients
- Offering debriefings for groups impacted by critical incidents
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology
- License in one of these fields
- At least three years of clinical experience working with people impacted by trauma
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Ability to travel to client homes and other community-based settings
The salary range is $63,000 - $68,000 per year, and the position includes a generous benefits package.
