Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our esteemed Mental Health Clinic team in Riverhead. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering individual and group therapy sessions to adults, adolescents, and children, catering to a wide range of DSM diagnoses within an integrated licensed clinic environment. This setting offers both substance use, mental health, and primary care services, providing a holistic approach to client care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of one year's experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably within a clinical environment. Prior expertise in diagnosing using the DSM V, as well as proficiency in behavioral/therapeutic interventions for diverse age groups, is highly valued. Additionally, strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records, are essential. Bilingual Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred.
