Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team at the Family Recovery Center in Bay Shore. This role will provide assessments, direct care, and referrals to individuals struggling with mental illness, substance use disorder, or dual diagnosis.
The successful candidate will also offer support to family members impacted by dependency, utilizing individual and group treatment models tailored to clients' needs.
This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in electronic health records, and experience working in behavioral health settings, preferably clinics. Bilingual Spanish language skills are an asset.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in social work or a related field, along with relevant licensure (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, CASAC, Limited Permit Social Worker, etc.). At least six months of experience in a behavioral health setting is required, with clinic experience preferred.
