Position Summary: Responsible for providing trauma-informed crisis intervention services, clinical assessment, emergency screening and triage, in partnership with GO TEAM® partners to provide support, information, and referral to families in the communities. Responds to incidents of trauma exposure to children, families and adults and provides follow up support and resources for trauma treatment. Supports police in determining if victims need emergency psychiatric hospitalization and assists in determining level of risk. Provides consultation and support to victims and their families.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required.
- Required to be licensed in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Mental Health Counselor.
- Experience working with law enforcement strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, adults, and families in a clinical setting preferred as well as knowledge of the impact of traumatic stress.
- Excellent crisis management and intervention skills required.
- Experience with trauma assessment, triage, and community resources.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possession of valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance is required.
- Ability to utilize a computer, the internet, and Electronic Medical Record to complete documentation.
- FSRI values staff with bilingual language capacity and familiarity with the local community they will be serving. FSRI includes pay incentives for bilingual staff.
- Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
- Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
