Position Summary: This position supports survivors of violent crime and their families encountered through FSRI’s law enforcement/social service co-response GO TEAMS®. Following the incident, provides emotional support, advocacy, assistance locating individualized supports, and assistance with criminal justice system navigation. The work of this position is informed by a unique perspective through shared lived experience.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree or higher in human/social service field preferred.
- Lived experience required.
- Community Health Worker Certification highly desirable
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. FSRI values staff with bilingual language capacity and familiarity with the local community they will be serving. FSRI includes pay incentives for bilingual staff.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires a mix of office-based and community visit work. Employees in this position must have the ability to travel to and from office sites and community locations which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
- Possession of valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance required.
- Employees must also have the ability to lift up to 20lbs.
