What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician, Mount Pleasant Academy position at Family Service of Rhode Island?
FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community we serve in!Mount Pleasant Academy is seeking a clinician to work in one of the states premiere day treatment programs for children ages 4-14 with psychiatric challenges. Work as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary treatment team providing individual and group therapy, family support, crisis management, and milieu supervision. We seek professionals who love to work with children and help to bring out their best. Excellent working conditions, 220-day work year.
Position Summary: Responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and clinical counseling services for students and families. Collaborates on cases with case managers and other service providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services to students and families. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed and participates in the Agencys on-call emergency services provision rotation schedule. Qualifications: Masters degree in human services related field requiredLICSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred.Experience with ED/BD children required.Computer skills desired.Possession of a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.Bilingual skills desired.Ability to communicate effectively.Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: Travel to and from students residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed.
