Our Director of Mental Health Services will oversee the planning, development and delivery of mental health programs and services. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong clinical background and experience in community mental health service delivery. The director will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and shaping the strategic direction of mental health services within the organization.
In this role you will lead, develop and manage mental health services and programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our diverse client base. You will collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic goals of FSR’s mental health services, including program expansion, quality improvement and resource allocation. You will oversee budge development and financial management ensuring cost effective service delivery while providing clinical consultation, guidance and support to staff to enhance service delivery and professional development. You will establish and maintain relationships with external organizations, agencies, and community stakeholders to enhance collaboration and service integration. You will also lead efforts to secure funding and grants to support the expansion and sustainability of mental health programs as well as promote mental health awareness and advocacy within the community as well as on the state and federal level.
Successful candidates must possess a master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field and must be licensed in the state of Minnesota as a mental health professional. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a mental health setting including at least 3 years of leadership or management experience. A strong knowledge of mental health issues, treatment modalities, and industry best practices as well as a proven track record of successful program development, staff management and strategic planning.
Our ideal candidate has experience in a non-profit or community-based mental health setting and also has familiarity with grant writing and funding sources for mental health programs. Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analysis tools is also preferred. Our ideal candidate must have experience as a board approved supervisor.
