Facilities Maintenance Worker
Salary : $21-$30 per hour (Non-Exempt)
Summary : The Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the organization's physical facilities and grounds. This role requires a versatile individual with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks independently and as part of a team.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, to ensure the functionality and safety of the organization's facilities.
- Inspect facilities and grounds regularly to identify and address potential maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities to minimize the risk of equipment failure or facility damage.
- Maintain the organization's grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and litter collection, to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of equipment, furniture, and facilities for special events or meetings, as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, and submit purchase requests as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and policies, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices, trends, and regulations related to facilities maintenance, and implement any necessary changes to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
