We’re Hiring: Crisis Counselors on 2nd and 3rd shifts
Location: Green Bay, WI
Our Crisis Center is a lifeline for individuals experiencing emotional or psychological crises in Brown County. As a Crisis Counselor, you’ll be at the heart of our mission – offering short-term, responsive counseling services to individuals in urgent need. Your role will be to provide immediate emotional support, help activate problem-solving skills and coping strategies, and connect clients with ongoing services for long-term healing. We work temporarily with clients of other systems to bridge the gap between immediate or emergency needs with long-term treatment or therapy programs. The Crisis Center attempts to form appropriate links between the immediate service needs of an individual in crisis and those community agencies that can serve their needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field (new graduates welcome – we provide extensive training!) If you have a Master’s degree, we offer the opportunity for you to earn your 3,000 hours!
- Passion for helping people through tough times and a working knowledge of human growth, mental health, adolescent psychology, and family dynamics.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong time management and the ability to work independently.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
