We're Hiring!
We are seeking a Food Services Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for the food preparation for the Residential program in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and County regulations as well as program/agency policies and procedures. The schedule for this position is on a two-week rotation & will involve working every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all state/federal codes and regulations regarding food service. This includes maintaining the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and storing foods properly.
- Prepare food for the program according to the planned menu and within Institutional Sanitation guidelines.
- Implement healthy, nutritious, and appealing meals as designed by the Food Services Team Lead, serving approximately 20 people for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with 2 snacks per day.
- Follow food preparation sheets and daily kitchen checklists.
- Adhere to nutritional Clinical Care Plans as applicable.
- Assist Food Services Team Lead in completing the weekly food inventory.
- Assist with the food preparation for other agency-wide programs or special events.
Qualifications
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma/GED
- Preferred: Associate's degree in culinary arts accepted in lieu of experience requirement
Experience:
- Required: 1 years' experience in a culinary position
- Preferred: n/a
Training:
- The Food Services Specialist will complete all required Federal, State and agency trainings. A minimum of 24 training hours will be completed annually. In addition, the Food Services Specialist will complete and maintain certification of Adult, Child and Infant CPR and First Aid with alleviation of choking and CBRF Fire Safety.
