What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non Residential and Sexual Assault Director position at Family Services of Southeast Texas?
Education: Bachelor's in psychology, social work, counseling, criminal justice, or other related field. Candidates without minimum credentials with at least 3 years of successful experience in a similar position of responsibility will be considered. Master’s preferred.
Skills: Must understand Sexual Assault Survivor challenges and the role of advocacy within support structures and the legal system; must be able to motivate diverse individuals to accomplish identified goals; must be able to write clearly and concisely; must have good public speaking skills.
The Sexual Assault Program Director will ensure the program staff's efficient and effective delivery of services. Their role is pivotal in managing the Sexual Assault Program and providing services to residential and non-residential adult survivors of Sexual Assault.
The Program Director will share the responsibility of implementing the sexual assault certification training program, working closely with the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) and the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) with the agency's leadership team.
The Program Director will also participate in the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and be a voting member to represent the agency.
