Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental office. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional patient service and support.
Language:
Preferably seeking candidates who are fluent in Spanish and English. Tenemos muchos pacientes que hablan español.
Our spacious practice has recently undergone major renovations to include all-new dental chairs and equipment, a new and spacious sterilization lab, new flooring, a new break-room and rest area, offering a comfortable space to relax during your downtime. Additionally, we've upgraded our reception area and lobby. We invite you to come and take a look!
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using Fuse practice management software
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect patient information, update medical records, and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed
- Provide administrative support to the dental team by following up with patient care including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence
Experience:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is a plus
