We are looking to build a network of pro bono license, attorneys and firms. To take on and manage legal clients on the behalf of Family Solution’s of America.
Role Description
Develop supervisors' supervision, management, and advocacy skills. Set goals, identify training needs, and review progress for each supervisor on an ongoing basis.
Conduct regular case review and check-in meeting with direct reports.
Coach supervisors and managing leaders to grow as leaders in the program and legal services community.
Identify legal issues of common concern and impact for assigned division and/or general client community.
Encourage and engage in strategic decision-making with each division Collaborate with supervisors on unit goal setting, implementation, and division retreats.
Ensure assigned divisions litigation and administrative advocacy efforts are in accordance with FSA’s guidelines, goals, and adjectives. Ensure legal services provided are in compliance with FSA regulations, and Law requirements, and other FSA Cases Work with supervising and Managing attorneys and legal advocates to engage in case advocacy and problem-solving.
Co-counsel with supervisors and attorneys on complex or novel cases.
Attend assigned legal divisions’ case review meetings on a quarterly basis, at minimum.
In collaboration with other directing attorneys with other divisions and managing attorneys' team monthly meetings.
Act as liaison with the local community partners and vendors, courts, bar associations, and local government officials.
Act as Liaison between leadership divisions and supervisors.
Coordinate with pro bono division to create and manage pro bono opportunities including our legal clinic, casework and mentoring.
Collaborate with firm staff and other management on case work and development ongoing training for attorneys and legal staff.
Qualifications
- Legal knowledge and expertise in Law
- Specialization in
litigation and attorney managment and supervision
- Experience in providing Legal Advice
- Research skills
- Negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Experience in civil rights and ADA law is a plus
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar license
