The Proctor Foster Home Certifier / Foster Parent Recruiter / Case Manager coordinates the steps required for applicants to become certified as a Proctor Foster Care parent with Family Solutions. Proctor Foster Care (PFC) is an individualized community-based alternative to residential care for youth with severe emotional and behavioral issues (ages 5-17).
Responsibilities for this position include parent screening interviews, home studies, initial and ongoing training, follow up visits, providing ongoing case management after placement. The PFC Certifier coordinates treatment with Family Solutions' Case Managers, Foster Parents, DHS Case Workers, and works frequently with community partners. An essential function of this position includes Foster Parent recruitment and retention activities.
The individual filling this role must be highly organized, team oriented yet able to work independently, energetic, and passionate about helping at-risk youth.
Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a closely allied field is required. Two years experience relative to care and rehabilitation of children and young adults is required.
Reliable transportation to travel between homes/locations required. Applicants must be able to clear a background check, have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 4 years driving experience, and have a clean driving record. Experience with networking and marketing is preferred but not required.
The selected applicant must be able to provide official transcripts sent directly from the university to Family Solutions.
Salary: $35,568 - $40,815 generous benefit package
