Job Title: Fundraising and Events Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Fundraising and Events Coordinator is responsible for managing and growing fundraising initiatives and events for Family Support Services of Amarillo. This individual will oversee key events, including the Mardi Gras Party and Harley Party, while driving new fundraising opportunities, such as employee giving programs, corporate sponsorships, and special fundraising events. The role will also focus on increasing visibility and engagement through social media, as well as leveraging emerging trends in fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports the agency’s mission and long-term financial sustainability.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute key fundraising events such as the Mardi Gras Party, Harley Party, golf tournaments, spring events, lunch and learns, and more.
- Corporate Partnerships: Work with local businesses and large companies to establish employee giving programs, corporate sponsorships, and in-kind donations.
- Panhandle Gives Campaign: Lead and manage the annual Panhandle Gives fundraising campaign with a focus on maximizing donations.
- Donor Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Social Media Fundraising: Create and implement digital fundraising strategies via social media, including crowdfunding campaigns and online donation platforms.
- Event Marketing: Develop promotional materials, press releases, and event campaigns to raise awareness and encourage participation.
- Tracking and Reporting: Track fundraising progress and provide detailed reports to leadership, including financial summaries, donor participation, and event outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of fundraising and event coordination.
- Proven experience with corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships.
- Experience in social media fundraising and digital marketing.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred in fundraising, marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software (e.g., GiveButter; Virtuous).
