Job Summary

The Placement Staffing Specialist is responsible for coordinating staffings with all parties directly involved in a childs licensed placement to promote placement stability, sibling unification, and resource utilization. Staffing objectives can include (A) problem-solving or leveraging resources to stabilize a placement, (B) reviewing a childs board rate to determine eligibility for enhancement based on DCF guidelines, or (C) continually evaluating efforts to place siblings together when separated between licensed settings. The Placement Staffing Specialist ensures consistency in assigned board rates for children in licensed care based on their eligibility and needs and maintains a detailed record of staffing outcomes. This role also monitors separated siblings and identifies opportunities to place siblings together after they have been separated between multiple licensed placements. The Placement Staffing Specialist will also be responsible for any additional duties as determined by the Director of Placement and Behavioral Health.

Essential Job Duties

Conduct routine and requested rate review staffings to ensure foster care board rates are aligned with each childs needs and eligibility as determined by DCF. Thoroughly document staffing outcomes.

Conduct routine sibling separation staffings to monitor and promote efforts to place siblings together in licensed care. Thoroughly document staffing outcomes.

Provide effective support and problem-solving input for case management, foster parents, and group homes to assist in stabilizing placements during placement stability staffings.

Track, review, and report data regarding placement stability, enhanced board rates, and separated siblings

Ensure compliance regarding current federal, state, and local laws, contracts, accreditation standards, and policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University required; however, a degree in social work or related human services field is preferred.
• One-year direct experience in the delivery of services to families and children required. Also requires understanding/knowledge of child welfare services and requirements. Prior employment with Placement or Licensing preferred.
• Valid drivers license.

Schedule & Hours

Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday typically 8:30am-5pm
