Job Summary

Providing teens with extracurricular and normalcy experiences is about giving them age-appropriate freedom and responsibility. Most youth need to practice the skills they need for adulthood to truly master them. Foster youthlike all childrenalso deserve opportunities to participate in community and school activities that they enjoy.

This position will support the Youth Well-Being initiative by working collaboratively with foster parents, group home providers, foster care services providers (CMOs), and other community providers to develop and maintain FSSs youth enrichment programs and the youth advisory board. The position is also responsible for the recruitment and coordination of volunteers for these programs as well as design and logistics. The position will connect youth to positive adults and be the point of contact to support mentor relationships. This position will be responsible for ensuring that young adults acquire essential informal life skills through meaningful participation in the organization's enrichment programs. Additionally, this role will oversee any grant funding associated with these programs, including managing documentation, tracking grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and meeting all grant deadlines. This position is also responsible for designing and implementing programs that promote financial literacy and career readiness for young adults. This includes developing curriculum, coordinating workshops and training sessions, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring that the programs effectively equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for financial independence and career success.

Essential Job Duties

  • Manages, coordinates and tracks the FSS teen enrichment programs for Circuits 4 and 6 such as the Challenge, SPLASH, Just Like Me, keys to independence and others as determined by FSS. Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs, the need, budgets and ROI. Work collaboratively with CMO services, Community Development and other FSS departments to secure participants and tracking of the programs. This includes securing volunteers as appropriate and as needed.
  • Creation and implementation of the youth advisory board, for Circuits 4 and 6, to include tracking, monitoring, hosting meetings, agendas, support groups, trainings etc.
  • Design and implementation of programs that promote financial literacy and career readiness for young adults. This includes developing curriculum, coordinating workshops and training sessions, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring that program offerings effectively equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for financial independence and career success.
  • Oversight of any grant funding associated with these programs, including managing documentation, tracking grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and meeting all grant deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree is required with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in one or more of the following: community engagement, managing programs, volunteer management or event coordination.
  • Valid drivers license.

Schedule & Hours

Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday typically 8:30am-5pm
