The Grower Accountant’s primary responsibility is to manage Grower settlement systems and processes in accordance with Grower Agreements using Famous accounting software. This includes compiling and preparing work papers to support the preparation, review, and analysis of Grower settlement returns. Secondary responsibilities include process improvement project management to support increased effciency and accuracy in Grower settlment processes. This includes working with users to understand the operational needs and concerns, then research and recommend improvement solutions. This position will be expected to exhibit the highest professional standards, ethical principles, and attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad hoc reporting functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Grower Accountant Duties :
- Manage and review all Grower Agreements
- Manage AR, AP, & Grower charges in Famous including auto charges
- Review and resolve periodic exception reporting
- Collaborate with Sales regarding timely Trouble & PAS return receipts
- Collaborate with the Credit & Collections Manager regarding unpaid balances
- Review and approve invoice adjustments
- Calculate and process Grower advance payments
- Calculate and process Grower settlement payments & distribute reporting
- Prepare grower settlement reconciliation and status reporting for periodic Management review
- Review and respond to Grower inquires and requests
- Prepare FOB reporting reconciliation for periodic Management review
- Support and implement Accounting & Finance objectives, while constantly working towards improving processes and procedures.
