What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Program Coordinator / Pool Manager position at Family YMCA of Greater Augusta?
POSITION SUMMARY : Under the general direction of the Executive Director of the Thomson Family YMCA, the incumbent oversees the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics Department to include but not limited to aquatic programming and supervision of program staff, lifeguards, swim instructors, and water aerobics instructors. The Aquatics Program Coordinator will have the responsibility of staff training and supervision of lifeguards, swim lesson programs, birthday parties, and rentals. Responsibilities include public relations, as well as staff and volunteer training and development to provide a comprehensive aquatics program for all ages. The Aquatics Program Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pools to include but not limited to balance and maintenance of pool chemicals, cleaning, and a basic understanding and ability to control the pools pump systems.
