- Drives vehicle safely according to YMCA policies, procedures, and state laws.
- Loads and unloads food for food deliveries
- Assist in assembling food kits for food program when needed.
- Assist in unloading veder delivery trucks when needed.
- Maintains vehicle in orderly and clean fashion.
- Completes thorough checks before and after every trip, recording all information.
- Records gas level, mileage, and maintenance on designated forms.
- Cleans vehicle out each day after last use.
- Promotes safety at all times, keeping first aid supplies fully stocked.
- Develops friendly and positive relationship among staff, volunteers, parents, and children.
- Communicates regularly with other staff and supervisor.
- Assists the Food Service Manager with receiving and storing food in accordance with Program guidelines.

- Position requires a clear criminal background check to include clean MVR(Motor Vehicle report)
- Prefer CDL with School Bus endorsement
- High School Diploma or satisfactory completion of the GED.
- One to three years' previous experience in cafeteria setting preferred.
- Certifications required within 60 days of hire : CPR / AED, BBP, and First Aid
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the communityWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Employee must be able to lift over 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Twisting, standing, lifting and sitting during long route deliveries is required.
- Physically perform all skills required of a driver.
- Remain alert with no lapses of consciousness.
