Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Support Manufacturing Supervisor:
- Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in coordinating the activities of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor production schedules and help adjust assignments as necessary to meet production goals.
- Ensure production processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Quickly address and resolve production-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and the needs of the production line.
- Track and evaluate the performance of individual team members and the overall production line.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees on manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the quality of products throughout the production process to ensure they meet company standards.
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify defects.
- Identify inefficiencies in the production process and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Implement approved changes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns immediately and assist in troubleshooting.
- Promote and enforce adherence to 5S principles, ensuring that these practices become part of the company culture.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Support regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and documentation.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, training sessions, and other events.
- Help ensure that raw materials and supplies are available to meet production demands.
- Assist in managing inventory levels to minimize waste and cost.
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
