Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY :
Maintain production machines running. Complete any administrative duties for department personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Performs leadership role by managing department personnel, designating positions, organizing labor assignments, and coordinating special projects.
- Performs machine maintenance. Trains personnel and monitors jobs in progress.
- Reviews pricing and availability, determines necessity of purchases, and tracks inventory.
- Performs preventative maintenance by controlling progress scheduling, identifying areas that need night shift personnel, and performing repairs.
- OSHA Compliance by checking for safety violations, monitoring hazardous waste, and implementing safety procedures.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
This position also performs other projects for the company as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and sit. This job also requires close vision at 20 inches or less. Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 ft. or more), Color Vision (the ability to identify and distinguish colors), Perpipheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships), Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus).
