Sr. Product Manager, Omni-Channel - Marketplaces and Product Information Management

At Fanatics, the Omni-Channel Product Manager for Marketplaces and Product Information Management (PIM) will drive the strategy and execution of our marketplaces platform and the underlying product information systems. This role spans the full lifecycle of marketplace operations—from seller onboarding and catalog management to order fulfillment and customer experience—while also overseeing the foundational product data infrastructure critical to marketplace success.

The ideal candidate will have experience in marketplace ecosystems, catalog and product management, and a passion for delivering scalable solutions that support both sellers and buyers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and Execute Marketplace Strategy : Define and deliver a marketplace strategy that empowers sellers, streamlines operations, and enhances customer trust and satisfaction across all channels.
  • Lead Product Information Management (PIM) : Own the creation, management, and optimization of product catalogs, ensuring accurate, enriched, and unified product data across the organization.
  • Drive SKU Unification (Skunification) : Lead the SKU unification initiative to harmonize product identifiers, reduce duplication, and create a single source of truth for product data.
  • Enable Seller Onboarding and Management : Build tools and processes to streamline seller onboarding, inventory management, and listing optimization, ensuring sellers can efficiently participate in the marketplace.
  • Enhance Buyer Experience : Collaborate with site experience teams to deliver seamless and intuitive purchasing journeys, focusing on discoverability, product authenticity, and personalization.
  • Optimize Order Fulfillment : Work closely with fulfillment and logistics teams to ensure marketplace transactions are processed efficiently and meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate Across Teams : Partner with engineering, marketing, operations, and customer service teams to align marketplace and PIM strategies with broader organizational goals.
  • Define and Manage the Product Roadmap : Establish a vision and strategy for marketplaces and PIM, prioritize initiatives, and maintain alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making : Use analytics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, measure success, and inform strategic direction.
  • Establish Standards for Data Quality : Ensure high standards of accuracy, completeness, and consistency for product data across marketplaces and channels.

Success in This Role Requires :

  • Marketplace and PIM Expertise : Proven experience in managing marketplace platforms, product catalogs, or PIM systems, with a track record of driving operational improvements and delivering measurable results.
  • Omni-Channel Mindset : Deep understanding of how to connect digital and physical commerce, enabling a unified experience for both sellers and buyers.
  • Strategic Leadership : Ability to develop long-term strategies for marketplaces and PIM while managing complex, day-to-day operations.
  • Analytical Skills : Proficiency in analyzing marketplace performance and product data to identify pain points, uncover opportunities, and measure impact.
  • Collaborative and Influential Leadership : Strong communication skills to align cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Agile Development Experience : Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development processes to deliver high-impact solutions quickly.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : A proactive approach to resolving operational, technical, and strategic challenges, particularly in managing complex product data systems.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • 7 years of product management experience, preferably in eCommerce, marketplaces, or PIM systems.
  • Experience leading large-scale initiatives such as SKU unification or similar data management projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end product lifecycles, including defining technical requirements and working closely with engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing technical and non-technical audiences.
  • BA / BS degree, preferably in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • MBA / Masters or equivalent credentials are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with collectibles, trading cards, or memorabilia marketplaces is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with PIM tools and technologies, as well as catalog management best practices.
  • Proven ability to work with external vendors, sellers, and partners to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of omni-channel commerce strategies and integration of marketplace and PIM systems.
