Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome each party and describe the food and beverage amenities, available to them.
- Provide an exceptional guest service experience to each guest.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Maintain and operate a point of sale cash register.
- Obtain a bank from the Casino vault and count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain, operate, and reconciliate a point-of-sale cash register.
- Receive payment by cash, cards, vouchers, etc. for food services.
- Verify that guests are of legal age to consume alcohol, before service alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain a high standard of food preparation, when preparing meals for our guests.
- Assist in sanitizing and safely storing all cooking equipment and eatery/beverage utensils.
- Handle decision-making, problem solving, complaint resolution, and customer service matters in accordance with skill levels.
- Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of food & Beverage stations to a high standard.
- Follow all operating procedures, safety and sanitation regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Log alcohol for safe serving and inventory purposes.
General Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in departmental and company training programs, as required.
- Notify appropriate staff members when assistance is needed.
- Demonstrate an upbeat and outgoing demeanor, while on duty.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
- Promote outstanding customer relations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Hight school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
- No previous experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies
- Knowledgeable on drink mixing techniques and alcohol serving requirements.
- Must be able to follow all instructions, written and oral.
- Knowledgeable in the area of clean and safe food preparation.
- Must be able to handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
- May be required to be able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time; must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including; evenings, weekends, holidays and promotional events
- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled casino environment
- Must be able to handle alcohol cut-offs/possibly confrontational situations with guests.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency (Oklahoma ABLE Commission, Gaming Commission, ServSafe, etc.), if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must already possess or be able to immediately obtain an Oklahoma ABLE Liquor License.
- Must obtain a Ponca Tribe Liquor License.
- Must already possess or be able to immediately obtain an Oklahoma or Federal Food Handlers License.
