Summary: Maintains policies and programs to ensure physical safety of the casino’s guests, employees and property and assets; complies with Illinois Gaming Control Board security requirements and the casino’s internal controls.

Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures compliance with operational procedures for activities such as guest service standards, fire prevention emergency response, guarding and patrolling the physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel inside and outside the facility, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts inside and outside the facility.
- Supervises and manages security officers assisting with guest interactions and transactions as needed
- Responsible for developing criteria and suitability for future candidates.
- Confers with representatives of management to recommend policy changes, determines need for programs and training, and coordinates programs with the casino's goals and objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Directs activities of workers involved in workplace safety programs.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls externally including but not limited to state and federal labor laws and the New York State Gaming Control Board regulations and guidelines.
- Reviews and approves all Security personnel performance.
- Hires, trains and manages staff is accordance with organizational and approved departmental policies, practices and programs.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Two or more year’s related experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Gaming leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of state gaming regulations, safety and security practices and protocols.
- Background and knowledge of security operations, Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) regulations, safety, investigation, and legal issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership/motivation skills.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Excellent knowledge in various computers programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing from Illinois Racing Board and Illinois Gaming Board
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to work in a noisy and smoky environment.
- Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
