THE POSITION:
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

This is a brand-new role within the FanDuel Trading Team focused on highlighting the most exciting live (during the game) markets in real-time. Central to this role is both the operation of internal tools, as well as broader stakeholder collaboration to ensure the smooth rollout and operation of the product. Additionally, there is a need for analysis, insights and reporting on performance to inform future direction and strategy. Expert coaching will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is well supported and given the opportunity to thrive professionally.

We are looking for people who are passionate about the intersection between sports narratives, copy writing and live sports betting. The ideal candidate is comfortable talking about the biggest names and news across the major US sports along with a basic understanding of sports betting. If you are organized, have a high attention to detail, analytically minded and LOVE live sport then we can teach you the rest.

Being able to work well in a team, lead others and quickly develop a deep understanding of our customers are important skills to evidence.

There is a requirement to work outside of regular hours when the highest profile games are taking place. Accordingly, this may suit someone based on the West Coast but those willing to consistently work until late on the East Coast are welcome to apply. This is a hybrid position that requires a mix of in-office presence and an ability to work from home.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

• Co-ordinate operations of internal tool surfacing narrative driven bets on the biggest games 7 days a week, collaborating with colleagues within the US and internationally to ensure the product runs smoothly on your days off.
• Operate the tool 3-4 times a week on the biggest games – think Thursday Night Football, College Football Saturdays, Sunday Night Baseball, March Madness, nationally televised NBA games.
• Key to operating the tool is identifying the relevant bets and then highlighting with creative copy and emojis.
• Collaborate closely with Trading team to understand the most suitable selections to surface and what key players and teams are trending from internal data.
• Monitor social networks and media channels to merchandize the most relevant narrative bets based on the biggest sports stories.
• Wider stakeholder collaboration and engagement across Product, Commercial, Risk and Trading and Technology teams to improve the tool while optimizing for the commercial and customer opportunity.
• Regular reporting, analysis and insights on the performance of the product to help inform future direction.

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

• Knowledge and interest in all main US sports, you need to know the big names and storylines.
• Familiarity with social networks and traditional sports media channels.
• It's important to understand basic sports betting terminology and concepts and a willingness to continually learn more with training.
• A natural talent for snappy and creative copywriting to promote the markets and ensure highly engaging content for our customers.
• Strong written, verbal communication and research skills are a must.
• Bachelor's degree is required, feel free to apply if graduating soon.
• Experience with Excel essential; knowledge of SQL is helpful but not a necessity, further training will be provided.
• Free schedule to work outside of normal business hours including weekends (especially during football season) and regular late shifts (typically around 2-10pm ET)
• Happy to watch and think about sport every day!

The applicable salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
