Heavy Equipment Fueler/Service Tech

PRESCOTT, ARIZONA - The Fueler / Service Technician performs tasks in the mechanical repair, lubrication, oil changes, troubleshooting, minor diagnosis, repairs and maintenance of heavy trucks, earth moving, and/or other construction related equipment including (but not limited to) motor graders, dozers, excavators, loaders, rollers and paving equipment. Fueler (or Service Technician) position will include some aspects of a Heavy Equipment Operator and Heavy Equipment Mechanic as you must understand how to operate the machinery you service, repair and/or maintain. Training is available for the right candidate! Annual wage may range between $55k to $85k DOE. A CDL license with tank and hazmat endorsement is needed for this position as operating a multi-axle fuel truck is part of the requirement.

OUR HEADQUARTERS ARE IN PRESCOTT, ARIZONA BUT WE WORK STATEWIDE. Fuelers/oilers typically work heavy overtime and may stay on the job site 5 shifts per week, home on most weekends. Daily tax-free subsistence (travel pay) of $70 to $80 is available for most assignments.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Arizona Class A or B CDL license with TANK and HAZMAT endorsements (no transmission restrictions).
• Must have a clean 5-year MVR as you will be assigned a company fuel/service/lube truck
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1-year experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or operator

Able to drive a large 6-wheel fuel truck with no transmission restrictions

• Must have own tools
• Statewide travel in Arizona (subsistence pay typically available)
• Working alone at night and on weekends is common
• Must be trustworthy and self-motivated as you will typically work unsupervised after the training period.
