Director of Therapeutic Programming
The Director of Therapeutic Programming is responsible for the quality and overall success of therapeutic programs offered at FAR, following the strategic objectives set for the organization. This includes programming both in-house and for external contracted facilities. The position ensures that all therapeutic offerings meet and exceed professional industry standards and adhere to best practices in the greater therapeutic community. Must have strong computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Office 365, and Quick Books. A strong candidate would have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
This position reports to the President.
1. Advocates the efficacy of creative arts therapies and program opportunities at FAR to the greater community.
2. Meets regularly with the President to discuss issues relevant to programming.
3. Along with the Director of Staffing, compiles annual staff forecasting and promotes overall program development.
4. Manages all referrals for offered therapeutic opportunities, including scheduling initial evaluations in a timely manner.
5. Serves as agency liaison between contractual agencies and FAR to promote FAR’s therapeutic services. Includes school districts, non-profits, and behavioral health agencies.
6. Completes annual waiver audits and contract renewals.
7. Works with the finance department to complete all annual and summer contracts for offsite partners.
8. Completes quality assurance checks with the offsite partners through bi-annual surveys as well as addressing any issues as they arise with support from the Director of Therapeutic Staff.
9. Works with the Director of Therapeutic Staffing to oversee individual therapist’s caseloads, including both in-house and off-site services.
10. Review documentation forms annually; revise as needed.
11. Leads bi-annual census.
12. Provides support for large events such as FAR Friends, Sing Out 4 Kids, Shine, recitals, and camps.
13. Collaborates with the leadership team to establish off-site scheduling.
14. Participates in annual contract negotiations with local school districts and other offsite contracts.
15. Make recommendations to the President for improved program planning and development.
16. Participates in revisions of agency documents such as the Employee Handbook with leadership as requested.
17. Contributes to monthly staff meetings and other staff training events as required.
18. Attend conferences that educate the community on FAR’s services, including resource fairs and other events.
19. Participates in new board member orientation, annual board retreat, and monthly board meetings as requested.
20. Participates in the Staff Professional Development Committee to promote staff cohesion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
