About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, for our Pharma site, with a passion for optimizing pharmaceutical production processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading capital projects from concept to execution. This role will focus on improving production efficiency, supporting new product launches, and implementing innovative equipment solutions in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects, managing timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality standards.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and startup of production equipment for new product introductions.
- Develop and implement equipment validation protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to ensure smooth product transfers.
- Conduct capacity analysis and recommend upgrades or process modifications for better scalability.
- Manage vendor relationships, review equipment specifications, and negotiate contracts for new machinery.
- Lead and mentor hourly workforce, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or production optimization, preferably in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or food production.
- Experience in capital project management, including budgeting and timeline execution.
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and FDA compliance.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
- Ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SAP, Microsoft Project, or similar tools is a plus.
