Job Summary
The Grocery Clerk plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of our grocery department. This individual will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized store, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Clean and sanitize daily
- Operate a POS (Point of Sale) system and perform cashier duties
- Unload product from trucks and stock shelves with products for customers to purchase
- Price and display product signs correctly
- Sack groceries and provide carry out service
- Record and report accurate inventory counts
- Assist all customers with their shopping needs
- Potential to perform E-Commerce Duties, such as picking orders, bagging orders, and taking orders to customer vehicles
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Ability to work Saturdays and some evenings
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills are required
- Previous experience in the grocery business or a related field is helpful but not required
Physical Demands
- On feet up to 8 hours per day
- Lifting, reaching, grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting
- Frequently lift 0-20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
