About the Role:
As a Market Clerk, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including providing customer assistance, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and recording inventory counts. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas regularly to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
- Conduct regular stock checks and record accurate inventory counts to prevent stock discrepancies.
- Assist customers with their shopping needs, including carrying groceries to their vehicles and helping with loading.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to make informed recommendations to customers.
- Support colleagues in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old or older.
- Must be able to work Saturdays and some evenings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately count and record inventory.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred but not required.
