We are recruiting for an Event Lead position. We feature a newer high scale 125-seat restaurant, private room dining and a formal event hall that can accommodate up to 400 guests, a scratch bakery coffee shop with additional event space and we are currently implementing plans for additional growth in Puyallup, Washington.
This job role includes but is not limited to leading and motivating the banquet staff during the preparation and arrangement of events. What you can expect to do on the job:
- Participate in the planning of events.
- Ensure events are staffed appropriately.
- Collaborate closely with all department staff and vendors to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Present an overall best in class environment for all guests.
- Provide operational support (co-manage beverage costs, inventory management, systems tracking, etc.)
- Professionally serve as main point of contact for main guests, answering their questions and solving their concerns.
- Confirm facility is up to PAR and ready prior to event start times.
- Train and coach events staff.
- Assure that all safety standards are followed.
- Adapt to change requirements as needed to accommodate guests.
Our ideal candidate has experience in a full-service food and service environment; preferably in management and who:
- Has a passion for quality service and wants to give back to the community.
- Is a strong communicator who has experience in leading and motivating others as well as building customer relationships.
- Is extremely organized and has the ability to pre-plan large events.
- Is self-motivated, can work well under pressure and has ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Can be flexible in his/her work schedule. Must have weekend/holiday availability.
- Embodies a team spirit in way that all parties working together bring success to a common goal.
- Has a Washington State MAST Certification and a current Pierce County Food Handlers Permit.
Pay/Benefits:
- Pay starting at $18-$21 per hour tips; dependent on background/education/experience.
