We are recruiting a Back of House Steward position. We feature a newer high scale 125-seat restaurant, private room dining and a formal event hall that can accommodate up to 400 guests and are currently implementing plans for additional growth in Puyallup, Washington.
Steward Job Responsibilities :
- Arrive at work on time.
- Ensure careful handling of all company property. Minimize breakage.
- Take out garbage and recycling as needed. Keep the garbage bay clean and odor free.
- Breakdown boxes and dispose of them in recycle container.
- Ensure dish area is safe from a potential accident such as mopping spills.
- Assist Front of House staff when necessary.
- Complete daily checklists.
- Assist in putting away orders or other duties as assigned by Chef on duty.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Clean walls and floors, perform other cleaning projects as assigned by Chef on duty.
- Set-up and break-down dish area.
- Keep the dish area clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Wash all dishes in the dish pit.
- Read, understand, and follow the Employee Handbook, Training Guide, and Specific Departmental Position Policy Procedures Manual including POS operations.
