We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Cybersecurity Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Project Management Discipline. The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Cyber Security and be responsible for managing the cybersecurity portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about evolving Cybersecurity project management and managing projects across the project lifecycle (planning through closure). The primary focus of this role is to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, time, and budget constraints. This position is required to be onsite 2 days per week.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Manage the project roadmap and delivery of portfolio of concurrent projects within the cybersecurity program.
- Utilize project management methodologies to develop documented comprehensive project plans for cybersecurity initiatives. This includes project objectives, scope, deliverables, work break down structures, required man hours, and Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI) documentation per project.
- Define major projects and program milestones and break them into smaller components to track progress across stage gates.
- Manage, maintain, update and create JIRA / Confluence boards, pages, workflows and dashboards to streamline processes, foster collaboration, and optimize delivery outcomes.
- Utilize JIRA, MS Excel, Air table, SharePoint, MS Project, M365 and other office suite tools etc., to create accurate and timely products, reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate statuses, key metrics, and performance indicators.
- Establish detailed schedules and timelines and assist with allocation of resources effectively. Implement continuous monitoring and control processes to track project progress against the baseline plan.
- Ensure projects deliver desired outcomes, interdependencies are recognized and managed, and decisions made on projects are in the best interests of Viginia Farm Bureau.
- Utilize project management tools and techniques to identify variances and take corrective actions. Deliver transparent and timely reporting of project status, issues, risks and financials.
- Engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including IT teams, external vendors, business leads and GRC teams,
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed through effective communication strategies and their needs and concerns are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives or working groups as needed. This may involve contributing to projects or discussions not strictly within cybersecurity but where this expertise is beneficial.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in cybersecurity, including emerging threats, trends, best practices, and IT security standards such as CIS, NIST 800, and ISO 27000.
- Lead and mentor project team members, fostering agility to increase the productivity of the team and the quality of deliverables.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring team members have the necessary resources and support.
- Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders on project status, milestones achieved, and potential risks or issues.
