Countryway is look for a Product and Actuarial Manager, who will manage the strategic development and implementation of new and existing insurance products that are in compliance with state and federal regulations and optimize our ability to profitably grow Countryway’s Property & Casualty business. Direct and supervise the activities of the Product Development & Actuarial unit to ensure rates and products for all Countryway product lines are profitable, competitive, and consistent with company goals and objectives. At the direction of the VP of Sales, Marketing, and Product Management develop management reporting and other analytics toward the development of strategies and tactical plans to support profitable growth.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Pricing and Filing review and implementation for Countryway states and products
- Directs and coordinates activities of the Senior Actuarial Support Analyst performing analyses affecting pricing and filing strategies for Countryway product lines
- Ensure products and rates are actuarially sound and competitive for Countryway
- Partner with Product Development in enhancing existing and developing new coverages to support our customers
- Plans, implements, and facilitates project resources across various Countryway strategic initiatives
- Works collaboratively across all business units
- Prepare required financial and regulatory reports and oversee the analysis of financial information used to produce forecasts for making rate decisions
- Manages and mentors the Senior Actuarial Support Analyst
- Develop and / or review analyses provided from other departments to support business goals
- Present reports, explaining their implications to upper management, advising on risk limitation
- Conduct competitor analyses
- Review actuarial pricing indications
- Monitor industry changes (including but not limited to ISO and AAIS)
- Work with Business Analysts and Information Services resources to support implementation of pricing and product enhancements within the Finys platform Strategic Planning Evaluate new Products and Pricing variables Financial Premium and Loss Forecasting and projection modeling ??????? Other Support Board presentations as needed Support Reinsurance strategies as needed Act as SME on rating and product development Management reports for sales, underwriting, policy services and claims as needed
