JOB SUMMARY: The Release Coordinator executes on the release management process and is accountable for the release management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordination, and the management of releases across the organization and multiple applications. Additionally manages and facilitates release Scrums.
Essential Functions
- Prepare Release plan, identify release scope and communicate.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations for scope and quality.
- Manages risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews to ensure that the process is being followed and release retrospectives.
- Conduct RCA for any post release issue and communicate.
- Maintain the release schedule for all core products and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
- Lead and co-ordinate the go-live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
- Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
- Manage relationships and coordinate work related to a release, between various departments.
- Identifies opportunities for quality and process improvement resulting in improved efficiency, increased productivity, and high customer sat
- Facilitate Release and DevOps team’s scrum, coach and apply scrum theories and practices.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with at least 3 years previous release and/or project management experience.
- Formal training in project management practices preferred
- 5 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
- Scrum master training and certification is a plus.
- Knowledge and exposure to software development lifecycle
- Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
