What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Care Specialist Trainee position at Farm Credit of Northwest Florida?
Farm Credit of Northwest Florida is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Member Care Specialist Trainee to be the cornerstone of our exceptional service to our members. The qualified candidate will work in the Marianna, FL branch location. This is a full-time office position.
In this position you will provide account information to customers in person, over the phone, and via email. You will be responsible for processing customer convenience service requests and handling general account inquiries. You will train to complete servicing actions on active loans. Additionally, you will perform a wide variety of clerical and office duties to support the Loan Operations department.
Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Customer Service
- Promptly and professionally handle telephone calls and visitors.
- Assist callers with routine inquiries and requests.
- Promotes convenience products to members.
Payment and Delinquency Management
- Review loan payments to ensure payments are applied accurately and appropriate communication with the member and accounting team occurs.
- Monitor past due reports. Contact borrowers to ensure payments are received in a timely manner, with special attention given to identifying the root-cause of any delinquencies. Accurately identify potentially distressed borrowers and ensure Borrower Rights are administered.
Loan Servicing
- Train to act as Servicing Loan Officer for the Home and Lifestyle Division loan portfolios completing servicing actions such as loan renewals, modifications, releases of collateral, and releases of liability. Ensure all necessary documentation is gathered from the customer, prepare loan approval forms, and submit loans for approval abiding by current policies and regulations.
Additional Administrative Duties
- Complete assigned Loan Operations monitoring and administration tasks accurately, timely, and independently.
Education
High School Diploma
Experience
2-3 years of lending, legal, or title review experience is preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent communication & interpersonal relations skills.
Proficient in the use of technology such as Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat with an ambition to learn new software programs.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work to handle time-sensitive projects and activities efficiently and effectively.
Exhibit a high level of Personal Leadership; defined as demonstrating competency and caring to achieve team goals. Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
Ability to work in the office during branch hours of operation (typically Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
The base salary range for the position is $40,500 - $50,600 plus variable compensation tied to a general incentive plan. Additionally, up to 9% employer contribution to your 401K as part of a full benefits package. Proficient in English and bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 – 5:00.
