Parts Specialist

SUMMARY:

This team member is responsible for delivering excellent customer service through parts transactions. This involves answering the customers and technicians parts inquiries, providing needed parts in a timely and accurate manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Offering Customer Service to internal (co-workers) and external customers
• Performs counter sales and answers customer inquiries
• Daily parts orders and drop ship orders
• Fills and prepares orders, via phone or in person, for shipment or for customer pickup
• Ensures a workplace and warehouse are clean, safe and friendly work environment
• Assists in addressing any discrepancies in parts inventory
• Determines the proper mode of transportation for parts shipments
• Able to use a forklift for loading and unloading cargo
• Check in daily and stock orders as needed
• Maintain team environment
• Work towards improvements in KPIs

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Parts experience in heavy equipment, agriculture or automotive industries preferred
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
• Computer literate
• Dedication, Self-motivation, Energetic with Strong Work Ethic.
• Detail minded - attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Problem Solving and Planning abilities
• Coaching ability
• Good ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Ability to work overtime, to include Saturdays

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job will operate in various environments to include but not limited to, climate controlled inside the department/warehouse, outside and in weather.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This job is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm. Saturday hours are 8:00am to 12:00pm. (Saturdays are on a rotation.) Early morning, evening, weekend and work on Holidays may be required as job duties demand. In-season hours can vary.
