Grocery Stocker

Your Role:

-Stocking Shelves: Receive incoming shipments of merchandise, including dry goods, canned goods, and household items, and replenish stock on the sales floor. Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment to transport merchandise to the sales floor and ensure that it's properly stocked and displayed.

-Organization: Ensure that merchandise is neatly organized and arranged on shelves according to company standards. Rotate stock and check expiration dates to maintain product freshness and quality. Consolidate and straighten merchandise as needed to create an orderly and attractive shopping environment.

-Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of assigned merchandise categories and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies. Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage.

-Customer Assistance: Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, answering questions, offering assistance, and directing them to products as needed. Help customers locate items, provide information about pricing and promotions, and ensure that their shopping experience is positive and enjoyable.

-Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and tidy work environment in the stockroom and on the sales floor, including cleaning and organizing shelves, displays, and storage areas. Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

-Physical Stamina: The role may require lifting and carrying heavy boxes or containers of merchandise, as well as standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. You should be able to perform these tasks safely and comfortably.

-Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in ensuring that shelves are well-stocked, neatly organized, and visually appealing. You're able to follow instructions and procedures accurately to maintain product freshness and quality.

-Team Player: You're a team player who works well with others and is willing to pitch in and help out wherever needed to ensure the smooth operation of the store. You're reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions and procedures accurately.

-Customer Focus: You're customer-oriented and committed to providing exceptional service that exceeds our customers' expectations. You're friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with customers to create positive shopping experiences.
