Your Role:
As our Produce Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our produce department, overseeing all aspects of its operations to ensure efficiency, excellence, and customer satisfaction. Here's what you'll do:
- Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and mentor a team of produce department associates, providing guidance, training, and support to help them succeed and grow in their roles.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensure correct pricing, order fresh produce from suppliers, and ensure that our department is well-stocked with a diverse selection of high-quality fruits and vegetables.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure that all produce meets our freshness and quality criteria. Conduct regular inspections and rotate stock as needed to minimize shrink and maximize freshness.
- Merchandising: Design eye-catching displays that showcase the beauty and variety of our produce, driving sales and creating an inviting shopping experience for customers.
-Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers by providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance, offering product recommendations, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
-Ensure that all produce handling and storage procedures comply with food safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at all times.
-Budget and Performance Management: Monitor department performance against sales targets and budget goals, and take corrective action as needed to achieve desired outcomes. Implement strategies to drive sales, reduce costs, and improve profitability while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Qualifications:
-You have previous experience in a leadership role, ideally within a grocery or produce department, and a track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
-You possess a deep knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including seasonality, varieties, and storage best practices, along with a passion for sharing that knowledge with others.
-You're committed to providing exceptional service to every customer, going above and beyond to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
-You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
