Social Media Marketing Intern

Job Description 

Farm Generations Cooperative is seeking a social media and communications intern to support the communications and media manager on a part time basis with ongoing social media content creation and press promotion. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in generating and posting daily content on multiple social media platforms on behalf of the cooperative and grownby.app
• Monitoring, moderating, and engaging on social media platforms and groups (including Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram) 
• Video content editing and creation for our youtube channel and shorts for social media. 
• Assist in creative outreach strategies to extend the cooperative’s message, including press outreach, brand partnerships, and influencer campaigns

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both in visual platforms and in written materials
• Comfortable with technology and a quick learner
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Canva experience required; good design sensibility and design skills a plus! 
• Outgoing and engaging personality
• Experience or strong interest in food and farming
• Organized and task oriented

Hours Part-time; 10-15 hours a week 

Location Preference for New York or Hudson Valley region, but location is flexible.

Farm Generations Cooperative is a producer and worker-owned co-op organized to provide a marketing and sales platform and other services for farmers and ranchers that sell directly to consumers.

Our e-commerce marketplace app, GrownBy, is used by small farms nationwide to sell CSA shares and individual custom orders to local customers.

We are headquartered in New York's Hudson Valley, though our staff work remotely across the country.
