Clothing/Footwear Department Head
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on Duty

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Help customers with special order requests and locate merchandise as well as inform them of product knowledge that may be helpful. Greet customers within ten feet.
- Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise in multiple departments.
- Learn and retain basic knowledge of Farm & Home’s web-based Intranet and employee site, The Outfitter.
- Remove damaged merchandise from the floor as needed and review and correct outages and overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads and sale signage.
- Identify and display new items at designated locations with Management approval.
- Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps, and displays.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures using regular safety checks.
- Attending store and job-related meetings along with reviewing the F&H Weekly Update that is distributed to each store every Monday.
- Professionally communicate with Customers, Management, and all store employees.
- Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Assist with price changes, markdowns, & labeling of merchandise.
- Operates cash registers and assists with customer carry outs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, i.e., evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Weightlifting capability up to and including 80 lbs.
- Maintain and control the organized stockroom area.
- Complete the required on-line Job Training.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completing special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities that may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Minimum Age is 18 years old.
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
- Six months of previous retail experience is preferred.
- Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members who want to grow.
