Department Head - Automotive & Tools
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on Duty

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Help customers with special order inquiries and merchandise location.
- Provide customers with relevant product information that may be beneficial and welcome each customer within 10 feet.
- Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise in multiple departments.
- Must have basic knowledge of Farm & Home web-based Intranet and the Outfitter.
- Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
- Review and correct outages and overstocks to supply proper inventory levels.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads and sale signage.
- Identify and display of new items at their designated location in department with Management approval.
- Demonstrate strong merchandising presentation skills for in-aisles, end caps and displays.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment, while following loss prevention and safety procedures
- Perform regular Area Safety checks.
- Attending store and job-related meetings along with reviewing the F&H Weekly Update.
- Professionally communicating with Customers, Management, and all store employees.
- Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Assist with price changes, markdowns & labeling of merchandise.
- Operate cash registers and assists with customer carry outs.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Weightlifting capability up to and including 80 lbs.
- Maintain and control organized stock room area.
- Complete required on-line job training available via our web-based Outfitters program.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completing special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Age requirement is 18 years old.
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
- Six months of previous retail experience is preferred.
- Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
