Supervisor Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Loss Prevention Coordinator supervises the Corporate Auditor and assists the Corporate Auditor with the store audits when needed. The Loss Prevention Coordinator ensures the audits are completed on a timely quarterly basis. The Loss Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the protection of all company assets, ATF inspections, State Police inspections, and firearm sales compliance.
This position reports directly to the Director of Store Operations and interacts with Leadership, Vendors, ATF, State Police, and Team Members.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Loss Prevention Program for all Farm & Home Supply Stores.
- Manage and oversee the Corporate Auditor.
- Works cross-functionally with all Departments.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates and works to deter theft.
- Works and assists local law enforcement in the apprehension of people involved in taking Company property or other Company assets.
- Assist with Company guidelines and coordinates with Management Teams for the safety of our Team Members and Customers.
- Internal and external investigations into theft and any investigations in any department of the Company as directed by the Director of Store Operations or Executive Leadership.
- Investigates theft, Team Member purchases, insurance fraud, payroll ghosting, accidents, destructions of Company property, customer complaints when warranted, burglary, armed robber, and lost or stolen weapons.
- Responds to all critical events in each store at any time necessary. Assists and/or directs the recovery process.
- Investigate and communicate any integrity issues with the Director of Store Operations, Chief People Officer, or Chief Executive Officer.
- Reviews and grades Company audits and works with the Director of Store Operations and Regional Store Directors for disciplinary action.
- Work with Farm & Home Supply’s Learning Management System Coordinator for training videos.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Trainer for training guidelines and procedures as it pertains to loss prevention and firearms compliance.
- Must stay up to date on all Federal laws pertaining to the sale, accountability, transfer, recovery and documentation of firearms in all stores and is the liaison between Farm & Home Supply and the ATF in all states where we have stores.
- Must know Federal law pertaining to the ATF trace request of weapons assigned to all the Company’s Federal Firearms Licenses.
- Must know all applicable State Laws pertaining to the sale, accountability, transfer, recovery, and documentation in all states where our stores are located and is the liaison between the Company and local and state police.
- Must know all Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa laws pertaining to licensing and submitting affidavits to obtain or renew state licensing to sell firearms in all locations and requirements to maintain all regulations for Team Members selling and transferring firearms in our stores.
- Must know or be able to learn the Company’s KCS, Defender, and Valerus surveillance system to assist in investigations pertaining to shrink, firearm sales, tracing, and theft.
- Reviews and analyzes shrink data for trends, inconsistencies, inaccuracies, etc. and provides solutions for shrink reduction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Store Operations.

- Valid Driver’s License and Ability to drive to all Farm & Home Supply store locations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years loss prevention or Retail Management experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of all listed Essential Functions.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Illinois FOID card (if Illinois resident).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to walk, climb, stoop, and bend on a repetitive basis.

Position wage range: $50,000-$60,000/year
