SALESCLERK
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on duty.
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures and to uphold the Gold Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Help customers locate merchandise and inform them of product knowledge.
- Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
- Operate handheld Telxon scanner and maintain accuracy of inventory.
- Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
- Assist customers with special order requests and sales.
- Attend store and job-related meetings along with completion of required Company web-based Outfitter trainings.
- Communicate effectively with Customers, Management, and store employees.
- Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Ensure that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies for the completion of assigned duties.
- As needed, operate cash registers and assist with customer carry outs.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors.
- Weightlifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete special projects directed by management and any additional assigned at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Age requirement is 16 years old.
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
