Stock Crew-(Part-Time)
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty.
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
To unload freight from trucks and stock merchandise in the correct aisles and shelves throughout the store.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The Stocking crew is to split and stock all freight. They are NOT considered a regular service teammate at Farm & Home Supply. They will not be required to operate the cash registers.
- Stockers will help customers locate merchandise and inform customers of any product knowledge that may be helpful.
- Verifying proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise in allocated space, matching the UPC number on merchandise to shelf label.
- Operating handheld device.
- Removing damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
- Follow company guidelines for department merchandising.
- Ensures a safe and clean work environment.
- Follows loss prevention and safety procedures including regular safety checks.
- Attending store and job-related meetings.
- Communicating with Customers, Management and all store employees.
- Follows all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Complete certified training to operate pallet jacks and tow motors. (Must be at least 18 years old)
- Weightlifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
- Must be 18 years of age to operate electric pallet jack and bailer.
- Must be 21 years of age to operate the forklift.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be required as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
