What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stock Crew position at Farm & Home Supply?
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty.
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
To unload freight from trucks and stock merchandise in the correct aisles and shelves throughout the store.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. The Stocking crew is to split and stock all freight. They are NOT considered a regular service teammate at Farm & Home Supply. They will not be required to operate the cash registers.
2. Stockers will help customers locate merchandise and inform customers of any product knowledge that may be helpful.
3. Verifying proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise in allocated space, matching the UPC number on merchandise to shelf label.
4. Operating handheld device.
5. Removing damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
6. Follow company guidelines for department merchandising.
7. Ensures a safe and clean work environment.
8. Follows loss prevention and safety procedures including regular safety checks.
9. Attending store and job-related meetings.
10. Communicating with Customers, Management and all store employees.
11. Follows all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
12. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
13. Complete certified training to operate pallet jacks and tow motors. (Must be at least 18 years old)
14. Weightlifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
15. Must be 18 years of age to operate electric pallet jack and bailer.
16. Must be 21 years of age to operate the forklift.
17. Other duties and responsibilities may be required as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
2. Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
