What are the responsibilities and job description for the Processing Tech position at FarmaceuticalRX?
Summary of the Role: The Processing Technician is responsible for making cannabis products with speed, quality, and accuracy, while adhering to the companies standards for manufacturing, in addition to meeting industry compliance requirements. Processing Techs are an important part of the seed-to-sale chain of production and act as the bridge from garden to store, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality finished products the company can provide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has basic knowledge about cannabis
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, and rapidly changing environment
- Assist with pre-processing, post-processing, and packaging functions while maintaining detailed laboratory records
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Follow proper equipment use and safety policy
- Follow lab safety plan/manual and SDS manual
- Maintain laboratory equipment and utensils in sanitary, safe, and organized manner
- Maintain and update chemical and other ingredient inventories
- Ensure that the laboratory operates compliantly at all times
- Cleaning and maintenance of lab and extraction equipment;
- Performing clerical work as it pertains to concentrate lab;
- All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in any relevant trades, including horticulture, food handling, etc.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to work within the OH MMCP
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Attention to detail and a quick eye
- Ability to sit for 8 hours per day
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to work up to 10 hours a day and rotating shifts
- Ability to accurately perform the functions within the processing lab as directed by the Processing Operations Manager and Director of Processing.
- Ability to bend/stoop/kneel/reach up to 90% of the workday
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Extended computer usage
- Comfortable being under constant video surveillance
- Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
